Hegarty Webber garden Clifton    Bristol  Mar 2011

A well planted courtyard garden constructed for The Hegarty Webber Partnership.

This long garden in Clifton was mainly lawn when we arrived. Designed by The Hegarty Webber Partnership to provide an elegant garden full of plants with a large natural stone seating area in the centre. The consolidated gravel paths lead through the planting including some very good topiarised Quercus Ilex which provide great form and nice height. The central patio is broken up with planting pockets where low growing plants like thyme help to soften and link well with the surrounding garden. Tensioned wires were attached to the boundary walls for climbing plants and the bird bath form the original garden makes a great feature in the shady border at the rear.
